Welcome to the home of Bermuda Magic

The Specialized Youth Arts Charity 679
Where did we begin?
Established in 2001 Bermuda Magic began out of the need to give the Art of Magic a continued presence in our island home of Bermuda. Magic has always been popular in Bermuda but there was no event were all the local magicians could perform on a stage as the featured Artists. Our event ‘Illusions’ was created and our first show burst onto the scene on March 18, 2001. Our event featured Victor & Diamond, Virgil, Will Roya and a young local female named Jennifer McCall –Daniels aka Lady J.
The show was a complete success and soon we were getting inquiries from parents asking, how their children could become magicians. We then received a call from our Government of Bermuda asking our group to consider putting on a workshop to teach Magic.
The Magic Workshop under the patronage of the Bermuda Department of Cultural Affairs was created in August 2001 and was hosted by the Bermuda Youth Library with 35 participants. Our guest Lecturer was Master Magician Victor Cephas – he got us started and we extend our heartfelt thanks to him and his wife, Sheila.
The Magic event and the workshop continued in 2002 but we soon realized that to continue with our growth we would need to create a charitable entity to develop and promote not only Magic, but other variety Artists.
In 2003 The Specialized Youth Arts Charity 679 was created under authority of The Charities Act, 1978. The main purpose of our organization remains:
To advance and elevate the involvement of the Youth in the Arts. To promote harmonious fellowship throughout the community among those sincerely interested in the specialized arts. Our principle focus will be on the Youth, but will not be limited to the youth and shall include the entire community.
